In an industry where loyalty means nothing, Mavin boss Don Jazzy may lose the trio of his Mavin 2.0 acts in February 2017.

Mavin Record boss Don Jazzy may lose the trio of his Mavin 2.0 acts in February 2017.

Don Jazzy has however revealed in his latest interview with Forbes TV that, ‘no one signs a life time contract. In the case of Korede Bello, Di’ja and Reekado Banks, they signed three years deals and if after three years they decide to move on to do something of their own, it’s fine, because at the end of the day that’s the goal’.

Don Jazzy continued to say, ‘at the point when that happens, the fans may feel offended and the media will get to work to make it look like something else’.

Already, Di’ja, a mother of one, is planting her ‘Dija Nation‘ movement in our minds. Korede Bello calls his teaming fans ‘Bellovers‘, while Reekado Banks calls them ‘Reekadicts‘ and if industry trends is anything to go by, these names might be setting the foundation for their own record label names.

Song Theft Issue:- I Have Not Settle My Fight With 2Face & Wizkid – Blackface Insists

Dancehall act and a former member of the singing trio, Plantashun Boyz, Ahmedu Augustine, popularly known as Blackface has disclosed that his song theft rift with former band mate, 2face and songster, Wizkid has not been settled yet.

It would be recalled that Blackface, had slammed 2face for allegedly stealing his song (Somebody Loves You) and had threatened to sue him.

According to the ‘Erima crooner’, he was out there in the wilderness and 2Baba never called because he wanted him dead so that he (2face) could take his ‘properties.’

Blackface had also accused Wizkid of copying many of his songs but he decided to keep quiet just to let peace reign.

The Benue State-born raga songster had called on the hip-hop artiste to ‘stop stealing’ his songs.

Blackface stated that he wrote the songs and therefore deserves to get the credit and royalties from them.

In a chat with Vanguard, Blackface said, “I don’t want to talk about those allegations anymore, though they are not yet settled.

“Copyright will take care of itself at the right time. I’m not worried about issues right now.”

Eminem No Longer Holds The Record For Most Words in a Song

Drum & Bass rapper Harry Shotta has broken
Eminem’s record.
In 2013, Eminem set the record for the most words
used in one song, due to his blindingly fast verses on
“Rap God”. Unfortunately, his 1560-word record has
now been bested, and chances are you’ve never heard
of the guy who did it.
Harry Shotta is the man behind “Animal”– another 6
minute song that features some impressively speedy
double time, and set a new record for words-per-song,
coming in at 1771 total.
Shotta is well known in the Drum and Bass scene,
and is based in the UK. His record is no accident
either, as he told UKF about his goal to break the
record. “The process is a long-winded one but we
know the word count is more than Eminem and
hopefully they’ll recognize that,” he said of the word
count, assuring there are no hard feelings toward
Eminem in his intent. “This is purely about pushing
our art and having some fun.”
As far as we know, Guinness has not actually made
the record official.
